In order to keep our students and staff safe, it is necessary that District 129 conduct background checks for visitors wishing to access our school buildings. As such, all visitors are required to stop at the main entrance and provide a valid state ID or driver’s license for a Raptor background screen which will cross-check our visitors’ identity against various state and national criminal registries. Visitors will be provided with a badge to indicate to staff and students that they have been cleared to enter the building.
If a building administrator indicates that you require building access on a more frequent basis, you will be asked to complete an online application. Your building administrator will provide direction with regard to this process. In this instance, you may be required to be fingerprinted at the District Office. This process provides District 129 with a check of Illinois State as well as FBI criminal records. In addition, District staff will cross-check various state and national law enforcement registries. Upon completion, volunteers will be issued an ID badge by school staff.
